Halden Hounds are rectangular-shaped dogs, proud, strong but never heavy. The smallest of the Norwegian hounds. It is believed that imported Foxhounds, Beagles and other hounds where crossed with local dogs to produce Halden Hounds, which take their name from a town in southeast Norway close to the Swedish border.
