Proud, calm and well balanced, Eurasiers are vigilant companions that bark little and are not easily provoked. They grow very attached to their family, while remaining aloof with strangers, although they are in no way aggressive and totally lacking in any hunting instincts.
Harmonious, not too broad skull. Wedge-shaped viewed from above and the side.
Solid, not too short, well defined withers, firm, straight back.
All colors and color combinations are acceptable, save pure white, white patches and brown.
Medium-sized, triangular, pricked.
Straight, round, firmly attached, good thickness, tapering to the tip.
Dense undercoat over the entire body, mid-length, loose-lying topcoat.
In 1969, the crossing of a Chow Chow and a Wolf Spitz produced a new breed, which was given the name Wolf Chow. After subsequent crossbreeding with Samoyeds in 1973, the breed was recognized by the F.C.I. as the Eurasier. These Spitz-type dogs are of medium size and harmonious build, with pricked ears. Their coats come in various colors. The hair is of just the right length to reveal the proportions of a medium-boned body.
